After graduating in 2020, I moved to Seattle and joined Amazon as a Transportation Analyst where I worked in the Middle Mile team helping to analyze and improve the performance of 135+ sort centers across the NA region. In early 2022, I was recruited by Microsoft to the Supply Chain Engineering organization where I supported hardware business (XBOX, Surface Laptops, Hololens) with sophisticated data analytics for all parts of the SCOR model operations. Deep in my heart, I knew that I wanted to return to the Dallas area and pursue my career aspirations in the aviation industry, after having done an internship with Southwest Airlines when I was an MS SCM student. Now I am at American Airlines, working as a Product Owner in the Airport Operations Automation team, which helps to reduce bottlenecks and inefficiencies throughout the aircraft turn management.
As a passionate aviation enthusiast, acquiring foundational knowledge in supply chain and data analytics has become paramount for professionals wishing to have a great career in supply chain. The MS SCM program at UT Dallas truly immersed me in a rigorous academic curriculum, enabling me to learn from some of the most experienced faculty in the industry, and paving the way for me to enter one of the world’s foremost job markets.
